My geometric planters are made from a fibre reinforced concrete which is strong and durable. It’s the same stuff they use in building façades because it has the same qualities as concrete but added tensile strength and reduced weight. This means that while a pot might be 60cm tall it won’t weigh 150kg making it manageable.

Cast concrete will take the surface finish of whatever it is moulded in as it is a very liquid casting material. I therefore use a flawless silicon mould to replicate the design to get the best finish possible. Some characteristic concrete air bubble will always come through that is what adds charm to concrete ceramics but it is important that the remain small and not dominant.

My original prototypes flower pots were hand laid up, some companies use spray methods and some use casting. My current range of planters are made using casting from a silicon mould which enables me to get as good finish on the inside as outside. In comparison hand laid or sprayed products will be left with a rough internal surface. This ensures the highest quality for your commercial application.

Having been producing, designing and distributing my planters all my self I was left with precious little time for pushing the brand and interacting with clients. I now have a studio with whom I work that produces my designs for me and a distribution centre that allows me to ship easily and efficiently giving me more time to focus on attending to my clients needs.
