This year saw the well attended Grand Designs Show come back to the Excel so I took a trip down to see the offerings. Last years show was good and so I was hoping for more impressive kitchens, show gardens and new furniture.

Over all I would say that it provided an entertaining day but I didn’t see the show stopping design of last year. There were some notable absences like the German furniture designer Zeitraum who are always a pleaure to admire and some of the smaller furniture makers were not in the small stands at all. What I like about attending these shows is finding the really nice bits of design that you don’t see elsewhere and whilst there was plenty of design you wouldn’t see elsewhere I wouldn’t quite class as much as nice this year as last.

Anyway, take a look and see what I did like
