As part of a marketing promotion I designed and hand produced a card flyer to send to designers so that they knew who I am and what I do. The quality of the flyer was designed in such a way that the designers could then use it to show their clients a good quality piece of literature about my work.
First impressions count! I made the flyer a size that would stand out in the post and wrapped it in a tactile brown paper. Finally I hand wrote the address so the designers knew it was personal and important.
When the designers get the package they will have 2 items, a cover letter and the flyer.
The cover letter explains in more detail what I can offer and is important so the package doesn’t seem a bit random.
The front is mounted on a thick card to give a healthy feel and weight to the flyer. The back edge is also backed for reinforcement. The weight and feel of a product is incredibly important. This flyer needs to communicate what I represent.
The flyer it self is a combination of nice images and an explanation of what I do. I also included some of my sketches so they can see this is a bit special and communicate some of the background behind the design.
