The Flames that you see in the pictures are prepared in a fibre reinforce concrete and hand made by myself. In this guise the sculpture will age and patina with the salts leeching out over time giving a truly rustic charm. To maintain the look in the photos a different material will be needed but there are all sorts of different possibilities available as each Flame is hand made to customer specification
Flame Sculpture
Flame was conceived like all my sculpture through a sketching program that followed an research program to find inspiration. This was a uniquely person design as the inspiration came from the link between many members of my family through the generations. My Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather all earned their living with some sort of connection to fire and thus this seemed like a suitable point to start from.
