A few months back some of you may recall I bought some solar garden lights for my garden. I was so impressed with them that I got hold of some more to finish of the deck and my new feature area around a planter I call The Egg.
The new Egg design comes at various levels of decoration and is seen here in full spec. The form is a fibre reinforced concrete concrete that has been acid etched to give it a turquoise tint like an egg shell. It is then painted on the inside to make more of a feature of it and if lit from the inside using a solar light would glow in whatever colour it was painted. The Egg is made even more striking by the little deck light that I have sunk into slate.
Being solar lights I was unsure whether these would be right for the job as the point of decorating this corner of my garden was to make more of the darkest area. It never gets full sun and therefore I thought perhaps the little lights would not absorb enough power to work but they were brilliant! I even put them inside the pot and they still got enough light to work, although the product was not right for this so they ended up lighting the outside instead.
If you are interested in The Egg Planter them hop over to my shop page for pricing and options and I really recommend up lighting it with some solar lights from The Solar Centre.
