My contemporary sculpture Flowing Mane has an easy viewing feel and can be specified in various different finishes or sizes depending on budgets or desires
As a result of a request for a set of Flames as well as something similar I designed Flowing Mane to be an accompanying sculpture. The design takes ques from the popular flame design but draws most of its inspiration from hair flowing down a women’s back as she tilts her head back, echoing the pose of rising from water. In this instance the face points to the floor but it can be posed the other way up which can been seen in other product images.
A traditional sketch program was carried out to design the artwork and then 3d resolution of the form. This process can be seen in the development section coming soon
