Flame Sculptural Development

Flame is a sculpture that has received a great response from the public and taken a long time to come to fruition. On this page I show you how I went about putting pen to paper and following those designs through to manufacture.

To start off a designer needs an idea and to get that idea they need inspiration. Here you can see some of the stuff which inspire my initial thought of the Flame project

Once the ideas are flowing it’s time to document them. The sketch programme is a common way in which aesthetic designers put their ideas down on paper.

Realising the actual form is often very different to actually drawing it so it is important to create a 3d model before committing to financing a physical model

Having established a good form in 3D it’s time to move into physical modelling. Here you can see some picture of the clay as it took shape.
