Starting to do test colours to see what looks good. Green to start but unfotunately due to the rain and wind the psint never dried and i have to start all over again.
The high winds blew the workshop over at the weekend meaning my paint didnt dry and everything got wet. Thankfully Dad had the foresight to move important stuff inside.

My range of sculptures is designed to add some excitment and interest into the garden and what better way to enhance that than with a bright colour range. These are the initial range of colour I am thinking of offering but it may need tweaking
Moulds complete it was time to test them out. Unfortunately the materials let me down and the slump was too high meaning it was a nightmare to assemble. Hopefully it’s patchable.
Well, after failed tests using marine gel coat I am back using Dulux Weathershield, wonderful stuff. Covered the imperfections well and made the sculpture look reasonable.

Whilst making a new mould it is essential that all the panels are aligned and flush with each other. In this video you can see the problems I am having and how I am getting on with solving them.
Once sanded down you are able to see where the pits and troughs are on the mould surface. You can then highlight them and return to them for another filling and sanding session Above in particular you can see the high point was so much i ended up sanding through the mould surface
