Utilising the versiltile shape that I designed for the outdoor flower pot Kronen I am offering a different and interesting new coffee table design that will make an interesting feature in your garden or home. The sturdy stance gives the table and prominent presence which will hopefully be a talking point among guests or a point of aesthetic pleasure for yourself.
Warm grey concrete is a very fashionable material as it is used in contrast to its surroundings. The outdoor coffee table works beautifully like this, with it’s setting either in the warmth of your home or the brightness of your garden, the concrete shouts a starkness that sets it off really well. Due to the nature in which concrete cures there will be tonal variation in the surface which adds to the rugged effect that concrete is so popular for, if this is no for you then the cream stone composite option offers a more uniform surface tone.
The coffee table is hand made, by me, in small numbers in my studio in Hertfordshire. It is constructed from a fibreglass reinforced, concrete mix and has a thickness of roughly 15mm.
Kronen bowl coffee table can be used either way up and also looks great if filled with pebbles but I advise to choose your side as Kronen is prepared with rubber stopper to grip and protect the glass
